Duncans Landing.

back to my home page. To see a map of this area.

Duncans cove is a local beach with a sheltered cove that is easy to launch from, although the climb back up to the road is steep.

Roger being conservative and staying away from the rough spots.

Roger demostrates hauling your kayak up the zig-zag trail.

I took my brother Ralph through the Hogback and mussel hunting in the Duncans Cove area on December 20th 1996.

Just off the end of Duncans Landing is a big rock, called The Hogback, with a crack through the middle of it. The crack almost looks navibable, and I look through here thinking of paddling through by kayak.
