Konstantin and I met for a Tuesday Evening Paddle after work again. If Roger had been available to come he would have insisted that we go to Bodega Bay since we had recently gone to Goat Rock. But Roger could not come and the two of us are not as fond of Bodega as Roger is. So we decided to do something different and launched from Grandmas Beach.

This is a small beach where Highway One swings down almost to the sand. The launch is a little dumpy but nothing we cannot handle. First we paddled north to Duncans Landing and went through The Crack in the Hogback. We traversed it both directions and also went through another channel behind a rock that is part of Duncans Point. Then we turned south and paddled past Grandmas Beach to Salmon Creek Beach. We were hoping to do some surfing there but discovered that it was even worse than the last time I was there. The waves were larger and were dumping very violently. There were a bunch of board surfers out in it but we didn't see any of them get a ride. Since it looked like we would most likely just get wet instead of getting a ride, we decided to skip surfing and head for home.
